General Information

This project is all about giving (endangered) wild animals that have been confiscated or voluntarily surrendered a safe place to stay, helping them recover, and ultimately releasing them back into their natural habitat.

What You’ll Be Doing

Working alongside our Indonesian keepers, you’ll get stuck into a variety of tasks, including:

Daily care for the animals (preparing their food, cleaning enclosures).
Creating enrichment activities to keep the animals stimulated and happy.
Observing the animals’ behaviour.
Teamwork on bigger projects like setting up enclosures and maintaining the park.

*There may also be extra opportunities to:

Be present during animal confiscations.
Watch operations in action.
Help out in the clinic.

*Note: While these extra activities are exciting, we can’t guarantee you’ll be involved in them during your stay.

A Typical Day

Your day kicks off at 7:00am, usually starting with preparing food for the animals. Then, you’ll team up with one of our keepers to clean the animal enclosures. Tasks are organised on a weekly schedule, so you’ll always know what’s coming up next.
