Ready for an unforgettable adventure? We’re taking you deep into the heart of West Sumatra, where rich Minangkabau culture meets breathtaking nature. Think lush jungle, dramatic cliffs, traditional villages, amazing food and just the right dose of adventure. You in?

Day 1: On the road to Bukittinggi!

Your trip kicks off with a warm welcome from our local guide, who’ll give you a quick rundown of what’s ahead. We hit the road through the scenic Anai Valley, with stops at the Anai Waterfall and the Minangkabau Cultural Centre. You’ll also visit Pandai Sikat village to check out traditional woodcarving and weaving, and Koto Gadang for some beautiful silverwork.

After arriving in Bukittinggi, we check into the hotel and you’ll have time to unwind before dinner. In the evening we will hit the buzzing night market!

Day 2: Explore Bukittinggi & Beyond

After a hearty breakfast, we dive into the day’s adventures. First up, we take a visit to the Japanese war tunnel and the dramatic Sianok Canyon. If we’re lucky, we might even spot the world’s largest flower, the Rafflesia!

After lunch on the go, we make our way to Taram village for a bamboo rafting session through lush green surroundings. To top it all off, we arrive in the stunning Harau Valley! A place so beautiful, it might just move you to tears. Check in, relax, and enjoy dinner in this peaceful paradise.

Day 3: Waterfalls & Jungle Treks

Time to stretch those legs! After breakfast, we set off on a trek through rice fields and hidden jungle trails, chasing waterfalls and soaking in some postcard worthy views.

Later, we stop by a small local factory where traditional snacks and noodles are made (yes, there will be tasting involved). In the evening, we explore Payakumbuh’s night market and treat ourselves to local delicacies.

Day 4: Minangkabau Culture Up Close

After breakfast, we head to the Pagaruyung Palace in Batusangkar, a stunning building in classic Minangkabau style with roofs that sweep towards the sky. You’ll learn all about the history and heritage of this proud culture.

Our next stop is Nagari Tuo Pariangan, a stunning village with rice terraces, ancient homes and sweeping views of Mount Marapi. Don’t forget to try the local Kawa coffee, made from coffee leaves! It's a totally unique experience.

To finish the trip, we drive to Padang for some well deserved beach time and sea breeze. If you’ve booked a hotel, enjoy a relaxed evening by the coast. Thanks for joining and see you on your next adventure!
