Make a meaningful difference while discovering the real Vietnam! This grassroots community project was set up to support local people and offers you, as a volunteer, the unique opportunity to truly experience Vietnamese culture. You’ll be based in the Thot Not region, in the north of Can Tho city, near the Cambodian border.
One of the most rewarding aspects of this project is its diversity. No two days are the same, and you can contribute in many different ways, depending on your interests and strengths.
You might:
You'll be helping where it's needed most, and becoming part of the community in the process. This is your chance to experience Vietnam from the inside, something most tourists never get to do.
During your time off, you’ll be able to explore the peaceful countryside by foot or bike. Enjoy the scenic rice fields, fruit orchards and visit cultural highlights such as:

As a volunteer, you’ll speak English on this project. Sometimes you may need to use hand gestures or body language, as not everyone speaks fluent English.
This project is available all year round.
Volunteers either stay with Phuong’s family in a private room, or can choose to stay in the volunteer house.
Most projects can be reached by bike or on foot. For longer distances, you’ll use a scooter, you’ll just need to cover the fuel costs.
If you’ve got extra space in your bag and would like to bring something for the project, it would be greatly appreciated. Just check in with us first about what useful and practical items to bring.
The local contact will discuss with you the best way to get to him.
Take a look at our extra trips to see what you can do in your spare time! We have some fantastic excursions available. And since you're already in such a beautiful destination, it’s the perfect opportunity to explore more of the country!
Phuong is your local contact person.

If you have a passion for community care and education and are ready to commit to a challenging yet rewarding environment, this project in Vietnam is perfect for you. Together, we can make a lasting impact on the quality of life in the local community.
We completely understand that having your child volunteer overseas can feel like a big step. In fact, it’s often just as exciting for parents as it is for the young person themselves, and sometimes even a little more nerve-racking. That’s why we want to reassure you that your child is in good hands.
Since 2004, we’ve been supporting volunteers and have guided many young people through meaningful international experiences.
We take safety seriously. That begins with carefully selecting our partner organisations, volunteer projects, and host families. Every placement is thoroughly checked to make sure it meets our high standards for safety, support, and ethical practices.
Our experienced and caring local contacts are always there to support volunteers throughout their journey. From clear pre-departure preparation to personal assistance during the project, we’re available to help whenever needed.
We believe strongly in open communication. You're always welcome to contact us with any questions or concerns. We’re here not only for the volunteers, but for their families too.
You can feel confident knowing we are fully committed to creating a safe, supportive, and positive experience. Your child’s wellbeing, safety, and overall happiness are our top priorities.
If there's anything you’d like to ask or talk through, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We're here to support you every step of the way.
Warm regards,
